Our guest today is Alexander Jelloian, a Young Voices contributor and of the Initiative for African Trade and Prosperity, a project of the Institute for Economic Affairs in the United Kingdom. Alexander talks Africa, and more specifically China's increasing intrests, investment, and interference in the continent. Alexander details the recent history of how the players might be new but the issues of economic exploitation and imperial/colonial ambitions are nothing new in Africa, and how strategic partnerships and good faith alliances are crucial in curtailing the actions of China and others.
