In this podcast episode, I discuss my enjoyment of recording these podcasts and how it has become something I look forward to rather than see as a chore. I talk about the coffee I'm tasting - an "outcast" blend of South American and robusta beans - and how I use a clear glass Bodum cup which allows me to better evaluate the roast. The see-through glass keeps the coffee honest, letting me clearly perceive flavors rather than being influenced by any preconceptions as the roaster. I feel this cup also slows me down to fully appreciate the flavors as the coffee cools. Later in the podcast, I describe vacuum sealing and freeze drying some leftover roasted coffee to preserve and revisit batches later. I also touch on upcoming plans, like finalizing bag selection, connecting with vendors to roast more coffee, and being strategic in growing the business.Listeners will learn how I honestly evaluate my roasts, my process for saving and revisiting coffees, and some of the behind-the-scenes plan
