Description
The sources recount the unsolved murder of Bonnie Hood, a wealthy woman who was shot and killed in her California mountain lodge. The investigation initially focused on her employee, Rudy Manuel, who had an affair with her and was initially identified as the shooter. However, the investigation eventually led to Bruce Beauchamp, an employee of Bonnie’s husband, Jim Hood. Beauchamp was acquitted of the murder, but a year later he was found dead, allegedly killed by Jim Hood. Hood was tried for the murder of Beauchamp, but the case ended in a mistrial. He was later convicted in a retrial and sentenced to 29 years to life. Despite these events, Bonnie Hood’s murder remains unsolved.
