Following Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, Mark 11:12 - 33 provides a rather different turn of events. In the preceding texts, He inspected the temple and the place and left, but in this text, He promulgates and enacts judgment in the temple, signifying His ultimate purpose of why He came to the earth. Contrary to what the disciples were expecting from Him in overthrowing the present Roman rule, Jesus came with a different agenda. John Musyimi shows us in this sermon that fruitless religion in God's Kingdom is fated for judgment by God's King!
