Psalm 31, a Psalm of David, depicts the hope saints have in their times of distress. Their refrain echoes Jesus' words as depicted in the gospels, "into Your hand I commit My spirit", a line David uses while in distress. Jesus when worn out with anguish and sorrow on the cross, cries out and commits His spirit to the Father for safety and vindication. And the Father proved so by raising Him from the dead and crowning Him with all glory and honor. The saints too have an invitation to entrust their lives and times to this same God. Pastor Chris Kiagiri seeks to show us in this sermon that in their lament, God's people entrust their rescue to His hand when worn out with trouble!
