Augusta Palmer is a documentary filmmaker and scholar. Her newest film is “The Blues Society”, about the 1960s Memphis Country Blues Festival and the blues revival in Americal. The film won Best Feature Documentary at the Oxford Film Festival. She also directed the short film “Order My Steps” about an incarcerated woman reaching out to her estranged daughter. The film debuted in Rwanda at the Women Deliver Film & Culture Festival. And she’s a professor at St. Francis College in NYC.
