Irene Antonez is a multimedia artist and musician based in Prague. Her artwork features surreal, dreamlike, and often psychedelic imagery, with a strong focus on fungi, microorganisms, and the plant world. She is particularly drawn to the microscopic study of fungi, as well as the fields of ethnomycology, ethnobotany, and historical scientific illustrations. Recurring themes in Antonez’s work explore the consciousness and intelligence of nature, the interconnectedness of the micro and macro cosmos, and processes like metamorphosis, symbiosis, and "plant-thinking."
