Description
We have the Gospel of today's mass telling us about Peter's question about how many times he would need to forgive those who offend him. Jesus says that he should forgive as many times as necessary, i.e., all the time. Jesus related a story about a servant who was forgiven his huge debt. However, this same servant unjustly demanded from a fellow servant his debt. He threw him in jail. The other servants reported this to the king. The king called the servant he forgave of his huge debt and demanded from him to pay his debt. Being unable to he threw him to jail too. The interesting thing here is that we imitate Peter in consulting with the Lord about the quandaries in his soul regarding what to do. We should do the same.
