Episode Details

The Gospel today draws us to recall that parable about a landowner who hires workers to work in his vineyard. We are represented by these workers who are hired at different times of the day. We are characterized by differences of our conversion to the Lord. There are those who give themselves to God early in life. Others when they are middle aged while yet others go to the Lord towards the end of their lives. God promises the same reward to everyone without discriminating anyone. The ones who followed our Lord early in life might expect more reward. They might even be critical of God who gives exactly the same to early birds as well as those who come late. Why be envious of his generous goodness that prefers to give the same to them all.
