Episode Details

We learn impressive things from St. Paul in his first letter to the Thessalonians chapter 3 in the first Reading of today's mass. First, the blessed communion of saints. We may have to ask the Holy Spirit to deepen our awareness of a great many others who are even unknown to us and who are suffering greatly but keeping in the faith. This must be an encouragement to us to pray for them and to see our responsibility to live in a more Christian way. Second, we need to look forward to the second Coming of Jesus, when he will judge the living and the dead. The final victory will be ours. We will all be vindicated and the enemies of the Faith who seemed to escape judgment with impunity on earth will be judged finally.
