I beheld this reredos in the private oratory of the Prelate of Opus Dei, who at that time was Blessed Alvaro del Portillo. It was a magnificent painting of the Holy Family in the lower part of the frame and the Blessed Trinity, complete with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, at the upper region. The saying goes, and this is attributed to the Founder of Opus Dei, Saint Josemaria Escriva, that in order to reach the Blessed Trinity in Heaven we need to pass through the Trinity on Earth, consisting of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. We need to learn to live in the family if we are to arrive at the bosom of the Family of Divine Persons in Heaven.
