Description
We hear this prophecy mentioned in the first reading of the mass today. In the process, God shows forth His loyalty to the people He had chosen to be His own. Although Israel would be unfaithful, God will not withdraw the predilection He has for Israel. He would punish them for their transgressions, but they will remain His people.
