Episode Details

We read today the version of St. Matthew found in his Chapter 19 of Jesus and the children. His apostles tried to turn them away when they approached Jesus for a blessing. Jesus corrected them. He reiterates that the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as them. Hence, it is not difficult to imagine that God will somehow bring those babies and fetuses aborted, although not baptized, to Heaven. He is not limited by the reception of Baptism. Furthermore, we need to continue our examination of conscience regarding how we treat our children and children in general. They are not property. They are not extensions of the parents. Moreover, they are individuals and persons in their own right. Hence, they need to be respected and developed to follow the talents that God gave them.
