Episode Details

The Lord speaks to us in the Gospel today when he mentions us to be a light. Light is an image God uses to refer to Jesus, the Messiah. However, Jesus wants each of us to be light, too. Lamps that are lit are placed on lamp stands so that their light could banish the darkness and shadows in a room. They are not placed under a bed. No one would benefit from their light. Each of us is supposed to be light, capable of shedding light around us. The capacity to give off light is given to us in our faith. We need to share it to the others. We need to apply our faith to what we do. If we don't, we would lose it. If we do, we will be given more faith and other gifts of God.
