The Brass Band Berner Oberland (BBO) is an ambitious and innovative music club with roots in the Bernese Oberland and the city of Thun. The BBO was founded in 1969 by Markus S. Bach and built up by him into an internationally recognized brass band. It has long been one of the best known and most successful brass bands in Switzerland. Through countless concerts, competitions, CD and record recordings as well as radio and television appearances, the BBO has built a reputation as a versatile concert and competition band.
