Matt Jenkins of Cloverdale Forge: Hooked
Description
Matt Jenkins of Cloverdale Forge just came out with a great book called: ‘ Hooked- A Blacksmith’s Study of Function Through Form’.
It all came from complaining to his wife after feeling bored of forging the same simple hook day after day. His Wife and Business parter suggested he forge a different hook every day for a month which turned into a year. A huge undertaking that had its ups and downs; #366Hooks had a supportive online following as Matt used his time and creativity to complete this task. ‘Hooked’ the book was born as a catalogue of this year long project with great insights, pictures and drawings of how to forge some of the different hooks. Matt is an Awesome Blacksmith who I’ve been following for years, and this book is a must have for any maker looking at how to execute creativity and work within the confines of a promise.
