- Sleep was a huge factor in symptoms
- Symptoms worse as she was getting older, which is abnormal for Spastic Displesia
- After having children, her symptoms were getting worse because sleep was declining

- No spasticity, no rigidity, lost all mobility that she had, couldn't even sit up in a chair

- Went to see new Neurologist and when she talked about the effect of her sleep. The doctor immediately said she thought she had DRD. Prescribed some medication
- Jean almost refused medication because she was in such disbelief
- Jean had new medicine and glass of wine at dinner that night and was able to walk alongside her husband to the car
- 3 days later, on Easter Sunday (at 33 years old) she was standing in a parking lot without holding on to anyone (first time in a decade), that's when I realized my life had changed
