Prop. 33: Removing Limits on Local Rent Control
Description
Since 1995, California has banned certain types of local rent control laws — specifically, on single family homes, condos, properties built after 1995, and new tenants. If Prop. 33 passes, this ban would be repealed and cities would be allowed to impose these kinds of new rent control laws in the future.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this podcast episode said that nothing would change immediately if Prop 33 passes. In fact, several communities have laws that would immediately go into effect.
