INTRODUCTION - (00:00)

QUESTIONS

Q1. Was it wrong of Nathan to bestow Saul’s wives upon David as his rightful inheritance after Saul’s death? Wouldn’t this be encouraging David to commit polygamy? - (00:11)

Q2. I understand that Ahinoam was Saul’s wife but also the mother of Michal. This would mean that David made his mother-in-law his wife. Wouldn’t this mean that David committed incest? - (07:26)

Q3. Polygamy and incest unrepented of would result in excommunication from church even in this day and age of Christian decline. Therefore, it seems like a great contradiction that a man after God’s own heart like David should have continued in the abovementioned sins, apparently unrepented of. Could you kindly shed more light on this? - (09:49)

Q4 a). David is a man after God’s own heart, but he committed adultery and murder. How can God possibly call David 'a man after God’s own heart'? - (11:55)

Q4 b). Based on David's example, does this mean that pastors can also commit adultery or have multiple wives and not be removed from office, if doing so is not against the law? - (12:55)
