21st Century Capitalism Has Failed its Ethics Exam

Season 1 Episode 6 Published 1 year, 7 months ago
Description
In its current form, capitalism has disillusioned most of the population in most democratic countries. Once celebrated as the engine of economic growth, opportunity and innovation, capitalism has transformed into a system that overwhelmingly favours the wealthiest few, leaving the majority feeling marginalised and enslaved to an unscrupulous system. As wealth continues to be concentrated in fewer hands, the legitimacy of capitalism begs deeper scrutiny. How can we tolerate a system that perpetuates cruel inequalities and environmental destruction without questioning its ethical foundations?
