Florida Woman Eyed in Husband's Brutal Killing on Boat
Published 1 year, 6 months ago
Description
On the evening of July 1, 2007, at approximately 11 p.m., a boater alerted authorities to a peculiar odor emanating from a vessel moored at Gibert’s Marina in Key Largo, Florida. Deputies from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office subsequently uncovered a decomposing body concealed within the engine compartment beneath a bed on the boat.
The vessel was registered to Edward Bozarth III, whose remains were located on board. He had succumbed to multiple blunt force traumas to the head, believed to have been inflicted by a hammer. However, the deputies were taken aback by the reaction of his wife, Denise, when they questioned her.
“I anticipated a significantly stronger emotional response from her,” remarked former detective Mark Coleman during an episode of Killer Relationship with Faith Jenkins. “I expected more inquiries as well. Instead, we encountered a rather unusual demeanor.”
Despite their suspicions regarding Denise's involvement in her husband's murder, the deputies faced a lengthy process of gathering evidence to secure justice for Ed’s family.
