Attorneys for Shanna Gardner continued to argue in court that she should be released on bond ahead of her trial in the murder-for-hire plot
Shanna Gardner is accused of plotting to kill her ex-husband, Jared Bridegan, with the help of her second husband Mario Fernandez and Henry Tenon.
Police say Tenon placed a tire on a Jacksonville street, causing Bridegan to stop with his young daughter in the car, before he fired several times at close range killing Bridegan.
Tenon has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Jared Bridegan.
Prosecutors allege that Tenon was paid from a trust fund funded by Gardner’s parents. Judge London Kite has yet to rule on whether to grant Gardner’s latest request for bond. She’s due back in court Sept. 23 for another hearing.
