This week, Sarasota SpeaX is honored to welcome two distinguished guests who have not only made it their mission to be involved with philanthropic efforts but are hosting an Inaugural Soirée to honor 12 women in the Sarasota area who have also created a legacy in giving back to their community and beyond.   When Katherine Harris and Margaret Wise first moved to Sarasota, they become instant friends, and would embark on a mission that would ultimately lead to Women In Philanthropy.

The mission for Women in Philanthropy is:

“To honor the indelible legacy of exceptional Women Philanthropists, past and present, whose virtues of integrity, compassion, humility, and kindness have perennially enriched our community’s fabric for decades. From these exemplars, we aspire to motivate and engage new generations in virtuous and intentional community enrichment and philanthropy.”

On this episode, Katherine and Margaret share their personal stories, and why the giving of your ‘Time, Talent & Treasure’ is critical for the betterment of the community, and the overall society as a whole.  They are hosting a Soiree on November 9, 2024.  The evening will be filled with entertainment, but most importantly, will honor the legacies to 12 exceptional women who have been extremely generous over the years in their mission of giving.
