This is the final week for the Penn State football team to make corrections and improve before the Big Ten Schedule begins to end the month of September. The MAC team at Kent State travels to Happy Valley this weekend to play the Nittany Lions at Beaver Stadium, and we're discussing the important aspects of last week's bye and this week's game on the BWI Live Show. Fitz's recruiting update

Penn State football used the bye week to do some traveling and recruiting, which our reporters documented this weekend. BWI recruiting expert Sean Fitz will discuss Franklin's travels and which stops are meaningful. 

The On300 update for the Class of 2025 dropped yesterday and several Penn State prospects made moves in the rankings for the top 300 players. Fitz will discuss what's important to know and where you can find more information. We'll also preview his deep dive into offensive lineman Michael Troutman. Troutman is a little-discussed commit in the Class of 2025 that Fitz will educate fans about on today's show. 

Between the Lines

Franklin spoke with reporters for roughly 40 minutes on Monday to kick off the team's game week against Kent State. Our Penn State reporters were there and will discuss the meaning behind some of Franklin's most interesting answers. What's the injury status of KJ Winston? Is Franklin more open about injuries this year? We'll dive into those topic and more. 

Penn State vs. Kent State preview and Mailbag

The game this weekend is a tough one to discuss because of the nature of the team's opponent. Unlike Bowling Green, which showed before the game earlier this year that it would be a quality test, Kent State has put up very poor showings so far. We'll discuss how to talk about this game, what is critical for a successful weekend, and more. 

Today's BWI Mailbag questions also deal with that topic. Which players should fans be excited to see this weekend? We'll discuss that, and preview which young players might make an impact on the back end of the 2024 schedule.
