Our guest Sophie von Laer, Engineer, Inventor and Executive Leadership Coach
Do you sometimes feel like the way you should lead pushes you into a box? Perhaps it’s a box that blocks your natural genius in ways that can make you less likely to take risks and more likely to play small. How can you get out of the box and gain access to your greatest assets? Well, that's where we're going. Our guest is Sophie von Laer. With a background in system engineering, neuroscience, and organizational leadership, Sophie has a multidisciplinary approach. At age 21, she had invented a robotic arm that works with eye-signals (EOG) for the US Military. Sophie also created a nano carbon brain electrode that has the potential to cure Alzheimer’s disease. In addition to her 3 engineering degrees, she is currently working on an Organizational Leadership PhD as part of her PhD work in Organizational Leadership. Sophie has more than a decade of experience coaching and consulting for non-profits, for-profits, and Fortune 500 companies like General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, Freddie Mac, and Lockheed Martin. Sophie's current focus is on Neuroscience based leadership development.
