Chris "Chief" Lawson brings over 30 years of invaluable experience in fire and medical services, making him a seasoned veteran in the field. His extensive career is marked by a deep commitment to both emergency response and community safety. Chief Lawson has honed his skills through a diverse range of roles, including frontline firefighting, emergency medical response, and leadership positions within fire departments. His expertise spans various aspects of emergency management, from crisis response and disaster preparedness to training and operational oversight.
Throughout his career, Chief Lawson has demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic planning abilities, guiding teams through complex and high-stress situations with professionalism and efficiency. His hands-on experience in both fire suppression and medical emergency care has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by first responders. As a mentor and educator, he has dedicated significant time to training new recruits and sharing his knowledge with colleagues, ensuring that best practices and safety standards are upheld.
Chris has been interested in the paranormal since he was in high school. So, he started the oldest paranormal team in Indiana. S.P.I.R.I.T!

S.P.I.R.I.T. is an acronym for Special Paranormal Investigation and Research Indiana Team.
S.P.I.R.I.T. Indiana utilizes a scientific approach using state of the art equipment. Our goal in any investigation is to rule out the logical explanations and record, document, and advise on potential paranormal activity.

Occasionally, throughout the year, Spirit Indiana offers our renowned "Paranormal University Master Class." The class is conducted at a location known to have paranormal activity.
The evening will start with a class that will include topics like the science of Paranormal Investigation, Investigation Methodology, Understanding the different types of Hauntings, Evidence Review, and Hands-on Equipment Instructions. Afterwards, we turn the lights out, and conduct our paranormal investigation.
The cost of attending a Paranormal U Master class varies depending on the location. All proceeds go back to Spirit Indiana to help fund our research and equipment. Spots are very limited
