This rate is significantly higher than the 36% rejection average across financial firms. The FCA has faced criticism for slow approvals, despite offering guidance to firms. So far, 44 crypto companies have secured money laundering registration. The slow progress has sparked concerns, particularly as efforts to regulate the industry have been delayed, hindering the UK's ambition to become a crypto innovation hub.
