Prayer of the Day Lord God, when we are assaulted by the troubles of life, and the deep waters of anger and resentment threaten to overwhelm us, do not let us sink. In your great compassion, hear us, help us and heal us. Move us to not only be hearers of your word, but doers who more fully follow you; through the one who has shown us both steadfast faithfulness and forgiving love, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
