Site, type and issue, which is more important in an architecture studio design thesis?
Description
Gearing up to this Sunday, 8:30 pm date 20 June 2021, on Clubhouse app, where I will be hosting a session on further explanation of "theory in the design studio work", this podcast, I gave a brief explanation of what is a design thesis? Namely touching on: site, type and issue, which is more important in a design thesis? Which one should we start with first? Find a site first and study it or find a building type first and site later or find an issue and relate to a type or site? It will always be about these three things and why, not understanding the design thesis and the complexities each one of these present, will make the design problem half-bake and the design thesis concept weak. This will be further explained in the clubhouse event and another podcast soon.
