Entries are open for the Ballance Farm Environment Awards and last year’s supreme winners – Simon and Hamish Guild from High Peak Station – say that entering was one of the best things they’ve done.
The Guilds run a diverse operation with sheep and cattle, honey and tourism all contributing to the operation. They say the key to their success is doing what works best for the land they have and that staying profitable is the best way to make sustainability gains.
