Mathias is back
My name is Mathias Alberton, MSc student in Applied Sport Psychology at St. Mary's University, Twickenham, London, UK.
In Spring 2024 I have attended the European Network of Young Sport Psychologists annual conference in Tallin, Estonia, and the International Sport Psychology Conference in Bucharest, Romania, to present my BSc dissertation study on fear and anxiety in the world of professional boxing.
Currently, I am conducting a exploratory qualitative research exploring "touch exchange", confidence and participation in physical activity among visually impaired and blind people, to inform future studies on the effects of training techniques derived by Kung Fu Wing Chun on their confidence levels and overall well-being.
I founded Martial Attitude C.I.C. to create a new type of training and support informed by Applied Sport Psychology's best practices and perspectives. Understanding and supporting active individuals, athletes and teams in their journey for a healthier living and outstanding performance.
