"Liberty! What Does it Mean to You?"

“The Cause O America Is, In Great Measure The Cause of All Mankind” Thomas Paine. That would seem to be a great burden to bear upon our shoulders. But we must bring Liberty to our land before we can be that shining city on the hill for all to see.
The core idea of personal-autonomy liberty is the notion that the individual should be allowed to do whatever he wishes, so long as he does not harm others or violate their rights.
As used in the Constitution, liberty means freedom from arbitrary and unreasonable restraint upon an individual. Freedom from restraint refers to more than just physical restraint, but also the freedom to act according to one’s own will.
By issuing the Declaration of Independence, adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, the 13 American colonies severed their political connections to Great Britain. The Declaration summarized the colonists’ motivations for seeking independence.
