Today On Deadline is looking at the housing market, which could be on the verge of offering relief after more than a year of struggle for prospective buyers who’ve had to weather a volatile market with high mortgage rates and record prices. The first step in the positive direction came last week when the average mortgage rate for a 30-year fixed loan fell below 6.5% for the first time in 15 months.
