Being Swiss, Pakistani, and Irish At The Same Time, Life in International School, and BlindianProject w/ Ayesha Syeddah | Ep. 55

Episode 55 Published 1 year, 8 months ago
Description

I sit down with Ayesha and we talk about her upbringing in Pakistan, moving to Switzerland and going to school there. We also talk about her being of Pakistani, Swiss, and Irish culture. And what that means to her.

Ayesha, aka @sha.eirah, an adopted Dubliner of Pakistani-Swiss roots, is a multidisciplinary artist, creative director and social justice advocate.

As a 3CK and polyglot, the themes of identity, belonging and migration are central to her practice, with Sociology and Sufism serving as her compass.

As the Managing Editor of the  @blindianproject, she focuses on positing decolonisation as an everyday practice for Black x Brown allyship.

With over a decade of successful community building across continents, she examines intersectionality in non-conformist ways.
