Description
Atlanta had won nine-in-a-row against the Colorado Rockies entering the weekend, but the Braves were the ones left licking their wounds. For only the second time in team history, they erased a deficit of six runs in the eighth inning or later.
Kyle Freeland's blister issues were a factor, as was Jake Cave who once again sparked a rally, this time a seven-run outburst in the eighth with one out.
Sam Hilliard, Tanner Gordon and Victor Vodnik - three players who cast aside by Atlanta last year - all featured against their old club.
