Beo String Quartet

Episode 596 Published 1 year, 9 months ago
Description
Jason and Sean Neukom violin and viola of the Beo Quartet describe for Jim Cunningham the fun of their upcoming events at Unity Chapel in Latrobe on August 22 for the Westmoreland Symphony and September 10 at Bar Marco. The program for the Strip District concert features Beethoven, Smetana, and a new piece written by Sean with inspiration from his Mom. There will also be a special offering from the mixologist which will accompany each piece of music. The Beo tell their story from North Dakota to Pittsburgh with a stop at CMU and their recent recordings. The Quartet brought recordings from their state of the art Neukraft studio featuring the new piece and Smetana with the opening of the autobiographical "From My Life" Quartet complete with the joys of love and the sorrows of health, challenges such as the buzzing of tinnitus which bedeviled Smetana. The latest addition to the Beo family, three month old Felix, listened in approvingly with the wisdom of his namesake Felix Mendelssohn.
