However, her burgeoning career coincided with her father's abusive behavior.
In private, József Barsi instilled fear within his family. He subjected both Judith and her mother, Maria Virovacz Barsi, to severe abuse and even confided in acquaintances about his violent intentions towards them. In 1988, he horrifyingly acted upon these threats.
