Hollywood Tales From Youngest Oscar Nominee Ever | Justin Henry

Season 1 Episode 24 Published 4 years, 9 months ago
Description

Discovered by a casting director at 7 years old, Justin Henry went from grade school obscurity to acting alongside megastars Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep — and became the youngest Academy Award nominee ever for his role in 1979's Kramer vs. Kramer.

Justin later acted alongside The Brat Pack in the iconic 80's film Sixteen Candles, followed by a turn as Don Johnson's onscreen son. Growing up in the everything-all-the-time "me" decade, Justin was surrounded by the egregious behavior of industry insiders that later spurred the Me Too movement.

Justin then pursued a degree in psychology, eventually returning to the entertainment business to found the first-ever all digital film festival in collaboration with Microsoft. After catching the attention of organizers at the Cannes Film Festival, Justin and his festival crew enjoyed an epic run on the famous French Riviera.
