What if something as simple and basic as breathing could solve your problems or help you attract love? Breathwork is an incredibly powerful tool to move stuck energy and let go of blocks or emotional baggage.

Breathe Love & Magic podcastIt can help with any challenge, from anxiety to finding love. And that’s what we’re delving into in this blog post, inspired by an episode of the Breathe Love and Magic podcast with breathwork expert Candy Irven.

Meet Candy Irven

In this episode, I’m speaking with Candy Irven, a reformed people-pleaser and a 15-year tech executive who now channels her powers into offering breathwork, hypnosis, yoga, and intuitive coaching.

A Breathwork Revelation

Thinking about breathing all started again for me recently. I had a session with a practitioner that used a very complicated method which left me feeling uncomfortable and stressed. I wished there was something easier that could have been more helpful from our time together.

As I journaled about the session, the phrase “breathe in the magic” popped into my head. This concept, came to me during a magic coaching session back in 2020, letting me know I could connect with magic anytime by simply breathing it in.

Reflecting on this in my journal and connecting with my guides, they suggested I could breathe in not just magic, but also breathe in love. This cracked me up because that is the name of my podcast, right? Breathe Love & Magic. My guides have a sense of humor.

Yet, this was a wonderful suggestion because I can breathe in anything I want, like health, wealth, fun and laughter. Candy resonated with this idea, emphasizing that the breath is a powerful tool that can ground, energize and open you to magic.

Mechanics of Breathwork

Candy IrvenCandy teaches a type of breathwork that loads the body with oxygen, causing the blood vessels to open up and then restrict. This allows the judging mind—the ego mind—to go offline.

You’ll connect with your own magic and might even release DMT, known as the “spirit molecule,” facilitating a profound connection to the Universe.

Breathwork can be used in various ways: to calm, to energize, and to move energy through the body. Candy shares her journey into breathwork, initially finding it too “woo-woo” even for her.

However, an incredible out-of-body experience at a women’s circle and a transformative solo trip to Mexico helped her embrace breathwork fully.

Breathing and Emotional Healing

Candy also touches on how breathwork helps with emotional healing. For example, practicing yoga involves postures that move distracting energy out of the body, so you can focus on the breath and enter a meditative state.
