Canada Defence Minister Annouces An AeroSpace Investment In British Columbia

At an event hosted by Boeing Vancouver, Defence Minister Bill Blair discusses Boeing's $61 million investments in British Columbia’s aerospace industry. This investment is part of the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITBs) included in Canada’s decision to procure up to 16 P-8A Poseidon aircraft from the United States Government and Boeing. He is joined by local Liberal MP Parm Bains, Al Meinzinger (president, Boeing Canada), and Kyle Kusznieryk (CEO, COTA Aviation).

Health Minister Mark Holland holds a news conference in Ottawa to highlight increased participation in the Canadian Dental Care Plan. He is joined by Kelly Mansfield (president, Canadian Dental Assistants' Association) and Melvin Lee (local dentist).

Premier Doug Ford highlights investments in Ontario’s water infrastructure, including $35 million to support the expansion of the G.E. Booth Water Resource Recovery Facility in Mississauga. He is joined by Kinga Surma (provincial infrastructure minister), Rudy Cuzzetto (MPP for Mississauga–Lakeshore), Colin Best (president of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario), and Cam Guthrie (mayor of Guelph). Responding to questions from reporters, the premier comments on his relationship with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, who was selected by U.S. Vice-President Kamala Harris to be her Democratic running mate in the presidential election.
