מִיט דעֶר גרעֶסטעֶר האָרעֶוואַניעֶ

Even with the greatest toil,

קעֶן מעֶן נִיט פאַרדִינעֶן קֵיין אֵיין סעֶנט

one cannot earn one cent

מעֶהר וִויפְיל הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרֵךְ האָט אָפְּגעֶשׁטעֶלט, אַז דעֶר אוּן דעֶר מעֶנשׁ זאָל פאַרדִינעֶן

more than G‑d has ordained for him.

מעֶן בּעֶדאַרף טאָן וִויפְיל עֶס אִיז נוֹיטִיג

We must do what is necessary,

אָבּעֶר מעֶן מוּז געֶדֵיינקעֶן

but we have to remember

אַז דִי גאַנצעֶ אַרבּעֶט, אִיז מעֶר נִיט וִוי אַ טָפֵל

that all our labors are only of secondary importance.

דעֶר עִקָּר אִיז דִי בְּרָכָה פוּן הַשֵּׁם יִתְבָּרֵךְ

What counts is G‑d’s blessing,

אוּן דִי בְּרָכָה פאַרדִינט מעֶן וועֶן מעֶן אִיז אַ עֶרליכעֶר אִיד

and this is earned by acting in a way appropriate for a Jew: 

תְּפִלָּה בְּצִבּוּר

praying with the congregation, 

שְׁמִירַת שַׁבָּת בְּהִדּוּר

observing Shabbos with loving punctiliousness, 

כַּשְׁרוּת בְּהַשְׁגָחָה גְּדוֹלָה

keeping kosher vigilantly,

חִנּוּךְ הַבָּנִים בּאַ מְלַמְּדִים עֶרלִיכעֶ אִידעֶן

and having one’s children educated by teachers who are G‑d-fearing.
