Today’s story is one of a hunter’s widow who decided to get out there herself. Just because her husband was at work didn’t mean the dog couldn’t get some work. With the company of her father, a good dog and the six shells her husband gave her she headed to the woods. Turns out 6 shells were not enough so her father digs through the vehicle and finds a box of deer slugs. In his attempt to “graze” Mr. coon he managed to waste a whole box of slugs. As bad as this may sound in todays world, imagine what that was like back in the 40’s when a box of shells could keep a pantry stocked for months!
