Ep. 635: Cardinals STEAL One At Wrigley Thanks To Epic Flub By The Cubs!
Description
Brenden Schaeffer discusses the Cardinals 5-4 win over the Cubs from Saturday at Wrigley as the defensive antics of the Baby Bears in the eighth inning allowed the Cardinals to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
We discuss the PCA and Hoerner mishap at length while also wondering aloud why Nolan Arenado did not end up at second base on the play (not that it mattered in the end, but I know it does to Cardinals fans!)
Plus, recognition that the Cardinals don't win this game without Kyle Gibson settling in and competing for seven innings after a rough start for the first couple of innings.
And we have to discuss a potentially damaging loss to the Cards as Michael Siani left Saturday's game with oblique tightness. Who could replace him if necessary? (You may already know as of listening-time but I did not when I recorded!)
