Ten months in, the US role in Israel's genocide in Gaza goes far beyond complicity. Israel is butchering Palestinians with US bombs, funding, and political and military support—making this as an American genocide as much as it is an Israeli one. Some in the US military understood this from the start, and took courageous action to express their dissent. Mohammed Abouhashem is among these heroes. Abouhashem quit the US Air Force in protest on Oct. 21 after 22 years of service. So far, he has lost six family members to the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza. Abouhashem speaks with Project Censored about his decision to leave the US Air Force, and what he hopes other members of the armed services will do to follow their conscience.
