Storms packed a punch Wednesday night, but we finally break the heat with the cold front.

Lee Goldberg says the relief will arrive over the next two days, starting on Thursday.

It will come in two stages, with humidity slowly lowering throughout the day on Thursday, resulting in a much drier Friday.

While our weekend will be warm, we won't see the extreme heat that we saw during the week, and we'll remain mainly dry.
