The Iranian Threat

On the day that a 20-year-old attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, a threat from Iran prompted the Secret Service to boost the former president’s protection before Saturday's attempt to kill him. As Washington correspondent Sagar Meghani reports, the extraordinary event moved President Biden to order increased Secret Service protection that morning, and not just for Trump, as several former Trump administration officials still receive security due to continued threats after the 2020 killing of a top Iranian general.
