Season 1 Episode 17 Published 7 years, 3 months ago
Description

Schooling methods and curriculum have had an impact on society. We've looked at how the education system fails to educate in some key ways and educates to the harm of individuals in others. Now we look at what effect this has had on society and us as citizens... no trivium, mono-layer thinking, need for entertainment, lack of logic, an overview of fallacies, and more. We'll then dive into a few key documents- an influential book on education by one of the founding thinkers in modern education, a government funded model for a universal schooling initiative, and a study on how well top colleges have been educating their students. This is a long episode but I felt the information was important and didn't want to cut anymore than I already had.
