Ch 6:1-18 is Jesus teaching regarding the three pillars of the Jewish faith. Giving, Prayer and Fasting had become a path to righteousness. Jesus words are so amazing in context. I went back to my journal notes for truths about forgiveness and wish I could find the website that I got these ideas from. I realize I need to give credit where credit is due but in my journals I neglect to write down resource names at times. I guess credit to Jesus for using various gifts to help us gain truth on our call to forgive.
