Is there a superior version of Pirates of the Caribbean in the US Disney parks?
In this episode of Distory, things get a little heated as we debate which version of Pirates of the Caribbean is best: Disneyland or Walt Disney World. Using historical stories, statistical facts, and present-day perspectives, we both try to prove that one ride clearly comes out ahead. Along the way, we have some fun telling a few new tales about this beloved attraction, from Yale Gracey’s unique practical effects to how specific smells impact our DIsney experience. This unique episode is filed with bits and pieces of treasure when it comes to Disney history, and we hope you enjoy debating along with us as we each make a case for which ride is the superior version (and since Kate wrote this, its so obviously Disneyland’s version).
