Today’s guest is dual Olympian and Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist - Australian Neil Rogers.

Growing up on the beaches of Sydney, instilled in Neil a lifelong love of swimming - both in the pool and surf. We chatted about training with Don Talbot and John Konrads; making the 1972 and 1976 Olympics; his Commonwealth Games experiences; racing Mark Spitz in the Olympic 200 Butterfly final and the devastation and shock of the terrorist attack against Israeli athletes in Munich in 1972.

Neil has an enthusiasm and love for swimming and coaching, which is reflected in his every word. He has competed at many FINA World Masters Championships, catching up with swimming friends from around the world and he continues to passionately coach swimmers at the iconic Bondi Icebergs Swimming Pool in Sydney, year round.

We could have talked about our love for swimming all day! You won’t want to miss this podcast. And if you are ever in Bondi, look Neil up at the Icebergs Pool. He would love to welcome you to join in with his squad.
